Anytime a new cafe opens in Providence, I know my wallet is in trouble. It is not unlike me to drop $20 a week on my new favorite slice of pizza, or a daily cup of smooth medium roast from the bakery across the street from my school. As a high school student in the city, it is hard to resist the temptation to try every new restaurant that pops up on the corner and Rebelle Artisan Bagels was no exception!

Honestly, what is better that a soft bagel stuffed full with flavorful cream cheese, complete with the crunch of onions and tang of briny capers. Nothing, that's the answer. Personally, I have always been a savory breakfast kind of girl, so this complex menu full of creative spread flavors and homemade bagels is right up my alley.

Best of Rebelle's

Everything Bagel with Veggie Cream Cheese and Cucumbers

Out of everything on the unique menu, this bagel is actually pretty mainstream, but going back to the basics is how you can truly test the quality of something. The fresh bite of the cucumbers combined with the flavorful spread, all encompassed by a soft, everything seasoned bagel, for sure passes the test!

Pretzel Bagel with Bacon Scallion Cream Cheese

I honestly cannot think of a better combination than bacon and scallions. However, I stand corrected after trying Rebelle's genius combination of a pretzel and a bagel. I think that makes this bagel a match made in heaven x 2.

Lox Bagel Sandwich

The way people feel about lox on their bagels, is similar to the way people feel about sushi. There is something about raw fish that makes people either love it or hate it. The lox on this sandwich however, is complemented by tangy capers and juicy tomatoes, giving you many reasons to love it.

Plain Bagel with Beet Dill Cream Cheese

If I could predict the next food trend, I would have to guess beets. Not because people are dying for more of that carrot-like, dull flavor, but because these vegetables can be mixed into virtually anything, giving it a bright, fuchsia color without adding much flavor at all. This cream cheese lives up to its colorful intentions and tastes just as great as it looks.
